Emissions events are tracked and integrated over time to provide overall emission estimates on a weekly basis. With sensing precisions at part-per-billions, our laser based technology is orders of magnitude more precise than Metal-Oxide Semiconductor based sensors, enabling the detection of emissions below 1 SCFH (0.02 kg/hr).
The Quanta3 QM3000-V2 monitoring system produces high resolution measurements that other measurement technologies are unable to attain. The benefits are: Confident emission monitoring that help operators to identify and address operational issues, while providing emission reports and support compliant operation.
Measuring emissions start with a trusted tool that detects methane as the prime ingredient of natural gas. Our laser based technology is based on a first principle measurement and eliminating severe interferences of water vapor or VOC’s found in other measurement technologies.
Methane emitted from a well pad or mid stream facility is naturally dispersed. Sensors strategically placed on a facility perimeter can actively track such dispersion providing coverage, quantify emission events, and locate the sources with fast and precise measurements. Baseline and trends are monitored to distinguish between, large unintended emissions (leaks) and the magnitude of nominal background emissions.
